Stars On Set - Tuc Watkins as Bob Hunter

This time, like I promised, I bring you Tuc Watkins (Bob Hunter, half of the gay couple of Wisteria Lane) on "Stars On Set".

It's nice he mentions Alfre Woodard.

Episode 5.11 - "Home is the Place" Preview

January 4th, at 9/8 central in the United States, on ABC, the eleventh episode of season five of DH will premiere, titled "Home is the Place". Here is the promo:

In this episode, Susan will sleep with someone (probably Lee) and not remember it afterwards; Bob will learn that Preston is posing as Porter, and Lynette will keep doing what she can to protect her family; Bree will meet Andrew's mother-in-law, Melina, who will wreak some havoc in her life; Carlos will want to start working with the blind, much to Gaby's dismay; and Edie will notice something's wrong with Dave.

The episode was written by Jamie Gorenberg and directed by David Grossman. Guest stars include Tuc Watkins as Bob Hunter, Kevin Rahm as Lee McDermott, Daniella Baltodano as Celia Solis, Madison De La Garza as Juanita Solis, Todd Grinnell as Dr. Alex Cominis, Joanna Cassidy as Melina, Peter Onorati as Warren Schilling and Marco Sanchez as Phil Lopez. I also hope that Mrs. McCluskey and her sister reappear in this episode, since they were absent from the last two, but I'm not sure they will.

Character Profile - Mary Alice Young

Like I told you before, I decided to add profiles of characters from the show here on Desperate For More. The beloved series narrator, Mary Alice Young, will be profiled now.

NAME: Mary Alice Young

FIRST APPEARANCE: "Pilot" (1.01)

NICKNAMES: n/a

ALIAS: Angela Forrest

ROMANTIC INTERESTS: Paul Young (a.k.a. Todd Forrest)

PORTRAYED BY: Brenda Strong

CHARACTER STORY: Mary Alice Young started the series as a seemingly happy suburban housewife who one day ended it all. Now, from her elevated state of P.O.V., she introduces us to the lives of her friends, neighbors and family members, sharing with us all the juicy details. She can see more now than she ever could alive. She now knows all the dirty secrets the people she used to share her life with are keeping. She doesn't judge them, even loves them more for their flaws, pitying them for how they hurt and manipulate those they care the most about. The reasons to Mary Alice's suicide made the main mystery for the first season of the show. Her voiceovers at the beginning and end of every episode (and also in between) are simply wonderful.

Episode 5.10 - "A Vision's Just a Vision" Review

The last episode of DH to air in 2008 was without question a great one. Every main lady had an amazing storyline, either touching or hilarious or both, and they mystery was greatly developed.

SUSAN: Mason Vale Cotton, who plays MJ Delfino, is adorable, even when he is being mean. Obviously, Susan doesn't like seeing her ex and her best friend dating, and MJ picks up on that, and gets his revenge for his mother, by harming Katherine. The bowling-ball-on-the-foot thing was awesome, and that whole line with "she could be on the cover of Sports Illustrated " was hysterical. Poor Katherine!...

LYNETTE: I feel sorry for Lynette, having her kid being arrested for a crime we all know he didn't commit (although the characters are not so certain of it) during a breakfast that was meant to bring the family closer together must suck really hard. She was hilarious all the way though, especially that scene with Bob ("You're my lawyer"). Did she sell the pizzeria? And how will the whole thing with Preston switching place with Porter turn out? I am just thankful the writers remembered Lynette has other kids other than just Porter.

BREE: I really enjoyed this storyline because we could see more of Shawn Pyfrom acting as Andrew Van de Kamp. He hasn't exactly had an actual storyline in years! The whole gay porn thing was hilarious, too (I'm running out of words). In January, she will meet Joanna Cassidy.

GABRIELLE: Carlos can see again, I have been waiting for this moment for so long (although I did enjoy him as a blind person)! That scene with the girls was very touching, until Gaby ruined it, of course. The thing with the baseball was predictable, but I wanted to see Gabrielle dance, and I didn't. I was disappointed...!

EDIE: Edie was a bit of a bitch in the beginning of the episode, she doesn't know yet that it was Porter, he was arrested due to a tip, which we know is inaccurate. So, Dave was related to Lila Dash, uh? I really didn't want that, I thought it would be too predictable if it actually happened. But, hey, what's done is done. But obviously we will be waiting for a big twist. Does Dave plan to kill MJ and Susan just like Mike accidentally killed Lila and Paige? What did Dave mean when he said "I'll be with you soon" to their ghosts? Can't wait to find that out...

This was a fantastic episode, A+. :)

Two More Seasons Of DH?

According to SpoilerTV, Marc Cherry may have quietly agreed to extend his show up to nine seasons, rather than his previously-planned seven. Apparently, he signed a deal quietly, and all the four main ladies are on board for the two extra seasons. What do you guys think?

Upcoming Episodes Spoilers

Various websites like the Desperate Housewives tripod, SpoilerFix, SpoilerTV and DesperateBlog have been releasing some spoilers for upcoming episodes of "Desperate Housewives". Some of them might not come to passe, but here they are:

Episode 5.10 - "A Vision's Just A Vision", December 7

Susan and Mike and Katherine go bowling with MJ (guest star Mason Vale Cotton). Susan has been dishing about Katherine and Mike being together, and MJ takes it out on Katherine. Lynette tries to protect her son Porter, which includes taking off his fingerprints from a gun. He is arrested, or maybe Preston in his place. Bree learns her son Andrew is getting married to Dr. Cominis (guest star Todd Grinnell), and Bob (guest star Tuc Watkins) and Lee (guest star Kevin Rahm) warn her that they might have seen Andrew's new beau in gay porn. Carlos slowly recovers his sight while Gabrielle quickly recovers her looks. Gabrielle has sold a base ball signed by Lou Gehrig that belonged to Carlos, and tries to get it back. Edie is Porter's alibi, supposedly, for the night of the fire, and Dave starts suffering from hallucinations. Mrs. McCluskey (guest star Kathryn Joosten) and her sister Roberta (guest star Lily Tomlin) do some more digging on Dave.

Episode 5.11 - TBA, January 4

Susan and Lee (guest star Kevin Rahm) will go to a gay bar, where a gay man will try to dance with Susan. Bree meets Melina (guest star Joanna Cassidy), the mother of Andrew's new boyfriend (guest star Todd Grinnell). Carlos decides to teach the blind how to read in braille, and the Solises have lunch with Phil Lopez (guest star Marco Sanchez) and his wife. Jackson (guest star Gale Harold) will be heard but presumably not seen, probably due to Gale Harold's motorcycle accident.

Episode 5.12 - TBA, January 11

Porter has been staying with his grandmother Stella (guest star Polly Bergen), who might've had a heart attack.

Episode 5.13 - "The Best Thing That Ever Could Have Happened" (Episode 100), January 18

Eli (guest star Beau Bridges), a handyman, is found dead on Susan's roof, and the women recall significant events from their lives in which Eli was present, including the day Mary Alice commited suicide (Brenda Strong will be seen in person in this episode). Steven Culp (Rex Van De Kamp) and Christine Estabrook (Martha Huber) reprise their roles in this episode.

Hope you like 'em spoilers!

Stars On Set - Dana Delany as Katherine Mayfair

This time I bring on ABC's "Stars On Set" Dana Delany, who plays Katherine on the show. She is seen in her house and in Bree's test kitch. Witness the real tree and paper flowers.

Here's part one:

And here's part two:

You won't believe the time it took to upload these two videos! Next "Stars On Set", Tuc Watkins as Bob Hunter.
